Content creators, published on YouTube Kids, stuff the titles of their videos with a mashup of terms to get views. Relatively innocuous videos share the same search terms and keywords as adult content masquerading as a children’s web series. “Angry Baby BURIED ALIVE Spiderman! w/ Maleficent Spidergirl Catwoman! Superhero Fun” is the title of a video depicting a grown man in a diaper rolling around in the sand.
DISNEY Twisted MICKEY! Helium w/ Shiny Balloon FLOATING Cartoon! RED is Inflated, balloon-like and rendered in shiny red. It’s friendly and fun. Formally, Mickey’s identity is less clear. He is stretched, folded and contorted. A particularly poignant reflection of pop-culture and content delivery systems being algorithmically pulled in different directions.
