Glass House uses materiality – glass, in order to transcend form from a conceptual framework to a more real one. Here, glass plays a double role, as it also takes on the responsibility of surface color, allowing interior and exterior to overalp due to its qualities of transparency
The house favors an appearance of disorder over composition and imagery but uses materiality to conceal this disorder and render its appearnce neutral from particular views.
